About me
I am an English major at George Mason University and a researcher and cultural communicator with a focus on cross-cultural translation and literary studies. My academic work spans English literature and Chinese cultural traditions, with projects ranging from Shakespearean analysis and nineteenth-century British novels to folklore research rooted in my hometown in China.
Alongside my academic work, I have experience as a language tutor at George Mason University and as an English teaching intern, where I work with language as both a system and a way to connect cultures.
Working between Chinese and English, I am particularly interested in literal translation and the challenge of preserving cultural meaning across languages. My broader interests include classical Chinese literature, as well as traditional practices such as tea culture, Daoist philosophy, and calligraphy—fields that continue to shape my approach to language and interpretation.
I aim to pursue a career in academia or international cultural communication, contributing to a deeper understanding between cultures through research, teaching, and translation.
